The accommodation
Relax in the pool, the new Swedish sauna, the games room - complete with pool table and gaming consoles or watch a movie on our huge TV. Or if you prefer, chill out in your own room with air conditioning and TV.
Friendly staff can 'hang out' as a companion or remain unobtrusive so that you are able to unwind and enjoy your time out.
Newport STA has three available rooms:
1. An accessible room on the ground floor with a Queen size electric bed, TV, air conditioning and accessible bathroom.
2. Master Bedroom upstairs, complete with TV, air conditioning and ensuite.
3. Double bedroom upstairs with TV and air conditioning. This room is reserved for emergency respite and shares a bathroom with the STA staff.

We encourage our guests to be involved in planning a stay at Newport STA. All our hosts and guests must be vaccinated for COVID, providing peace of mind for all who stay with us. Mostly our ratio is 1:1 unless prior arrangement is made. Newport STA can offer a 1:2 ratio by arrangement if clients require less assistance.
Please note: No smoking, alcohol or illicit drugs. No pets with the exception of assistance dogs with the required proof of meeting the Public Access test (as per the Guide, Hearing and Assistance Dogs Act 2009).
Activities
We offer art workshops for our guests to have fun, creating colourful items to take home as a reminder of their stay. Examples of our workshops are featured here. View details of our current workshop on the Events page. We also offer walks and excursions including a canal cruise from our pontoon.
